My Child’s First School Field Trip: An Exciting Adventure in Pampanga

There’s always something special about a child’s first school field trip—it’s a mix of excitement, curiosity, and new experiences. For my 10-year-old, this was a milestone worth celebrating! The itinerary was set for a day of fun and discovery at Dinosaur Island in Clark and relaxation at Villa Alfredo’s Resort in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The Journey Begins
The day started bright and early with a 5:00 AM call time. Despite the early wake-up, the kids were all smiles, filled with anticipation. By 5:30 AM, we were on the road, heading from Quezon City to Pampanga. The travel time flew by quickly, thanks to the laughter and chatter that filled the bus. By 7:00 AM, we arrived at our first stop—Dinosaur Island in Clark

Exploring Dinosaur Island
As soon as we entered, the kids were transported to a prehistoric world. Life-sized dinosaur animatronics greeted us, moving and roaring as if they had come back to life. My child was in awe, eagerly pointing at every dinosaur and sharing fun facts they had learned in school.

The highlight was the guided tour where the kids learned about different dinosaur species, their habitats, and their history. It was both fun and educational—a perfect combination for a field trip. The interactive activities added an extra layer of excitement.

Discovering Insectlandia

Right next to Dinosaur Island was Insectlandia, a hidden gem that turned out to be just as exciting. The kids were introduced to a fascinating collection of insects, from vibrant butterflies to curious beetles. They marveled at the lifelike insect displays, learning about their importance to the ecosystem

Lunch Break and Travel to Villa Alfredo’s Resort
By 11:30 AM, it was time for a lunch break. The teachers and parents had prepared packed meals, and the kids enjoyed eating together. Afterward, we boarded the bus for a short drive to our next destination—Villa Alfredo’s Resort in San Fernando.

Fun and Relaxation at Villa Alfredo’s Resort
We arrived at the resort by 1:00 PM, and the kids were thrilled to see the beautiful pools and lush greenery. Villa Alfredo’s is not just a resort—it’s a mini-paradise.

The kids spent hours swimming and playing games, while the parents and teachers enjoyed bonding and relaxing in the pavilion.

Heading Back Home
By 4:30 PM, it was time to pack up and head back to Quezon City. The ride home was quieter—most of the kids were either napping or chatting about their favorite moments of the day. We arrived back in Quezon City by 6:40 PM, tired but happy, with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Reflections on a Day Well-Spent

This field trip was more than just a day out—it was an opportunity for my child to learn, explore, and build friendships outside the classroom. Seeing their eyes light up with excitement and hearing them share stories about their adventure made the early start and long day absolutely worth it.

I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and excited for the many more milestones to come in my child’s journey. Here’s to more firsts and unforgettable adventures!
