New video series, launched in partnership with DepEd, promotes health, wellness, and environmental responsibility among students nationwide

NAGA CITY, Philippines — To help young Filipinos build healthier habits early in life, AIA Philippines and the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI), in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd), have launched Gen H: Generation Healthy, an educational video series that brings classroom lessons on health and well-being to life in fun, engaging ways. The series premiered on October 6 and will air every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:20 PM on Knowledge Channel, as well as on its digital platforms nationwide.
Gen H brings the AIA Healthiest Schools (AHS) curriculum to life through engaging video lessons for students in over 10,000 public schools nationwide. Covering nutrition, physical activity, mental wellness, and environmental care, the program makes health education accessible and entertaining. AHS is a pioneering initiative by AIA Group—the largest pan-Asian life insurer—designed to foster healthier, more sustainable habits among the youth.
The launch was held at Naga Central School II School 2, and was graced by Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, alongside over 100 attendees — students and teachers, key executives from AIA Philippines and KCFI, DepEd officials, and members of the local government. Learners took part in an interactive “Knowledge on the Go” activity and got a first look at the Gen H series through an exclusive teaser screening.
“With Gen H, we’re helping shape a generation that’s not only health-conscious but also community-minded and environmentally aware,” said Melissa Henson, AIA Philippines Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re especially grateful to the City of Naga for welcoming Gen H. Launching the program in a city known for its leadership, strong education initiatives, focus on health and deep sense of community empowers young Filipinos to make small, smart choices every day—choices that can lead to Healthier, Longer, Better Lives. Through our partnership with The Knowledge Channel Foundation, we’re able to reach even more students with engaging and informative content that inspires action and builds lifelong habits.”
“We at KCFI aim to turn health education into a powerful force for change,” said Rina Lopez, co-founder, President and Executive Director of KCFI. “By bringing it into classrooms and homes across the country, we’re planting the seeds of lifelong wellness and shared responsibility—starting with our children and extending it to communities.”
Mayor Leni Robredo expressed gratitude to KCFI and AIA Philippines for bringing Gen H to Naga City. “We join you in your call for more effective educational materials for our students. As parents and teachers, we share one dream: to have healthy children—not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. As they say, it’s like we’re holding a ball: if we are healthy, our pass will be better, improving the game for the entire team, the family, the barangay, and the community.”
The launch in Naga also marked the first leg of the Gen H School Roadshow, as it visits more schools nationwide to promote health, wellness, and environmental awareness.
Earlier this year, AIA Philippines and KCFI signed a memorandum of agreement formalizing their partnership to bring the AIA Healthiest Schools program to more Filipino learners. Knowledge Channel produced nine 10-minute episodes on key topics such as healthy eating, active living, and mental wellness, developed with guidance from DepEd and aligned with AIA’s Rethink Healthy campaign, encouraging Filipinos to view health more holistically—beyond diet and exercise—and to embrace habits that lead to Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
The Gen H video lessons will be distributed nationwide via Knowledge Channel’s broadcast and digital platforms, enabling educators to integrate them into classroom activities and reach even the most remote schools.
